The nation’s largest manufacturing sector, the auto industry, remains focused on ensuring our workforce and customers are safe and have a path to economic recovery. We strongly support initiatives to help those affected by the current public health and economic situation while returning the economy to full strength. Automakers and their partners have assembled a high-level industry task force to monitor the situation, share information and address future developments driven by recommendations from public health experts. We also remain in close contact with key policymakers and stakeholders. As Congress and the administration continue to develop legislation, we will continue to closely monitor the industry and economy for potential impacts on our customers. The auto industry is a key part of this economy and we will continue doing its part to protect customers and employees.
