Kristin Kingsley

Kristin Kingsley is a nationally recognized expert in automotive safety with over 25 years of experience advancing vehicle technologies and policies that save lives. Her work emphasizes the critical role of vehicle-based countermeasures within a Safe System approach, ensuring that interventions are grounded in sound science, real-world data, and effective policy.

Drawing on 15 years of public service at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and more than 8 years of working with industry, Ms. Kingsley brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented perspective to complex auto safety challenges. She understands that preventing roadway fatalities and injuries, including from impaired driving, requires shared responsibility and coordination across sectors including government, industry, advocacy, and the public.

Ms. Kingsley holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Transportation Safety from GWU’s National Crash Analysis Center.
