Gretchen Effgen
Gretchen Effgen is Global Director of Partnerships for Android Auto at Google, leading partnerships with the automotive industry for Google-branded solutions and the AAOS platform. Prior to joining Google, Gretchen was a VP at Motional, an autonomous software venture now fully owned by Hyundai. Gretchen helped the founders of Motional (nuTonomy) grow from Series A through acquisition to Aptiv and the subsequent spin-out into a joint venture with Hyundai. Previously, as a Zipcar executive, she was responsible for some of the earliest collaborations between the then-emerging transportation mobility industry and automakers. She has served on the Board of Directors of Coord, acquired by Sidewalk and folded into Google, CivicSmart, a parking technology company, and LaWawa, a mobility services company in Latin America. Gretchen is a three-time appointee to the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Councils and served on the Commission on the Future of Transportation at the appointment of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
