Auto Innovators provided feedback on Delaware’s draft plan and technical report to address climate change. Included in the technical report is consideration of a ZEV mandate to help decrease transportation GHG emissions. Auto Innovators pushes back on the mandate as a viable option, noting emissions benefits will be limited and the ability to expand sales will be contingent on state efforts to develop incentives and infrastructure. Auto Innovators supports, from the plan, fleet requirements, addition of EV building codes, a low carbon fuel standard, and other complementary policies to grow customer demand for electric vehicles.
