Andy Forsythe

Andy Forsythe is an automotive industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the global aftermarket. He most recently served as Head of Brand Protection for The Nissan Group of North America, based in Franklin, Tennessee.
In 2013, Mr. Forsythe established Nissan’s North America Brand Protection Group, expanding its reach globally through partnerships with fellow OEMs, U.S. government agencies, and digital platforms to combat the rise of counterfeit automotive parts. In 2016, he was elected as the inaugural President of the Automotive Anti-Counterfeiting Council (A2C2), serving two terms and later returning for two additional terms from 2022 to 2024. His leadership was recognized as in 2017 as he led an A2C2 delegation to the White House to advise the administration on the public safety risks of automotive counterfeiting.
Mr. Forsythe has also been recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Forbes, and other organizations as a thought leader, subject matter expert, and industry pioneer in automotive brand protection. A frequent speaker at international training seminars, conferences, and industry forums, his work has shaped collaborative strategies to protect consumers, safeguard brands, and strengthen enforcement against illicit trade.
A Tennessee native, Mr. Forsythe is a Pi Sigma Alpha honors graduate of the University of Memphis, a former federal law enforcement officer, and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. He currently resides in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
