Kurt Erickson

Kurt Erickson serves as President and CEO of the award-winning nonprofit organization, the Washington Regional Alcohol Program or “WRAP.” WRAP is a grantee of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Highway Safety Offices and serves as project director of the Virginia DMV-funded anti-drunk driving campaign, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” (née Checkpoint Strikeforce).

In addition to serving as CEO and lead public affairs strategist for the 44-year-old public-private partnership working to prevent drunk driving and underage drinking in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, Erickson is a registered multi-state lobbyist for the nationally-heralded coalition.

Erickson is a recipient of numerous honors including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Public Service Award, the Maryland Highway Safety Office’s Kevin E. Quinlan Advocacy Award and, as part of the WRAP coalition, the Governors Highway Safety Association’s Peter K. O’Rourke Special Achievement Award and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Regional Partnership Award, amongst others.
