Charles Hawkins

Chuck is the Assistant General Counsel for Intellectual Property & Litigation at Volkswagen US Holding, Inc. (“VWUSH”), located in Reston, Virginia.  In his role, Chuck is responsible for managing a variety of intellectual property issues for the company, including handling issues relating to patent litigation defense, post-grant proceedings at the US PTO, patent licensing and strategic patent portfolio management.  Before joining VWGoA, Chuck was an attorney in private practice where he represented clients in patent infringement litigation in district court, the Federal Circuit, and the ITC.  Prior to entering the practice of law, Chuck was an engineer for Chevron.
